Boolean Girl (www.booleangirl.org) is looking for instructors and counselors in training (CITs) to teach hands on computer science classes and summer camps. Camps and classes are designed to inspire and encourage girls and underrepresented youth to discover their true potential in computer science and engineering. Instructors are at least 18 YO, CITs are high school students that have completed the 9th grade. 8th graders can volunteer to work as a CIT.
Classes are face-to-face in the DC metro region: DC, Arlington, Fairfax, and Montgomery. These classes cover very basic programming skills. The classes are for girls and underrepresented youth in grades 3 -8. College students are encouraged to apply. Computer Science and Engineering majors are highly desired. This is a great opportunity for future teachers, future technology professionals, aspiring STEM professionals or anyone with a desire to work with girls while building your resume.

Basic computer skills are a must, experience/interest in working with kids is also a must. You must provide your own reliable transportation.
