Hanan Abdelbagi

Hi! My name is Hanan Abdelbagi and I am a graduating member of the Washington-Liberty High School class of 2025. I plan to pursue a major in computer science at Vanderbilt University. I have been working at Boolean Girl since the start of my senior year and I have enjoyed inspiring young girls to pursue computer science!
In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, trying out different cafes, and watching tv shows! Fun fact, I can speak three languages (English, Arabic, and Korean). I can’t wait to meet everyone this summer!

Roayba Adhi

Hi! My name is Roayba Adhi, and this is my third year at Boolean Girl. I’m interested in computer science, AI/ML, and environmental science. I first got into coding back in middle school, and I’ve been hooked ever since! I’m really excited to get to know all the campers, build cool projects together, and share my love for technology. In my free time, I like to read, go on long walks, and try out new coffee shops (feel free to ask me for recs—I have a whole list)!
A fun fact about me is that my name was sent up to space on a NASA aircraft when I was in elementary school 🚀

My name is Emma and I go to Washington- Liberty High School as a rising senior! My favorite class at school is Computer Science and I am excited to help you learn more about your love for computers and technology!
I have a pit bull named Blue and I love to spend my days cuddling with her while reading a book. I was born in Mongolia but came to the United States when I was 5 and have been here since. I would love to travel to Mongolia again. I am the oldest sibling and I have a younger brother (4) and a younger sister (10).

Anupama Barua

Hi! My name is Anupama and I’m a rising senior at Arlington Carter Center. I’ve been working at Boolean Girl since October 2023! I’m interested in working in the computer science field. I am working towards completing my Associate's Degree in Computer Science through NOVA. Outside of coding, you can catch me hanging out with my friends or catching up on a book! Can’t wait to meet all of you guys this summer!

Infinity Bushby

Hi! My name is Infinity Bushby, and I’m thrilled to be part of Boolean Girl Camp this year! I’m proud to be NAF (National Academy Foundation) certified, having completed three pathways: Project Lead The Way, the Academy of Information Technology, and the Apprenticeship Pathway.
This fall, I’ll be heading to Penn State’s College of Engineering to major in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Outside the classroom, I stay active as Captain of the Girls Varsity Cross Country team and a member of the Varsity Track & Field team. When I’m not busy with school or sports, I enjoy crocheting, reading, playing with my dog, and spending time with family and friends.
I can’t wait to meet everyone and be part of an amazing summer together at camp!

My name is Abby Cortez! I’m a rising senior at Duke University where I’m majoring in Biology with minors in Bioinformatics and Theatre. I discovered coding in my first year of college and it feels like a fun game or puzzle to me. I’ve always loved teaching and I’m so excited to meet all of you wonderful future computer scientists. Aside from Boolean Girl I’ll be spending the summer preparing to apply for graduate school.
In my free time, I like to bake, write stories, workout, and hang out with my friends. I’m also always taking book suggestions. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Sandra Djayeola

Hi!!! My name is Sandra Djayeola and this is my first year teaching with Boolean Girl camps! I’ll be a sophomore this coming fall at Lafayette College, where I’m studying Computer Science and Government. I used to be in Girls Who Code in elementary school so I’ve always been interested in coding, but I started taking it more seriously during my junior year of high school. During my time volunteering with Boolean Girl last school year, I really enjoyed lesson planning and helping the kids learn and have fun with their Microbits. Some things I’m looking forward to this summer (besides teaching of course) is that I’ll be studying abroad for a short period of time in Paris! All in all, I’m super excited to start teaching this summer!

Avery Donachie

My name is Avery Donachie. I am a junior at Yorktown High School and this is my first year teaching with Boolean Girls. I compete with an elite robotics team in Botball and my team got invited to compete at the global tournament this year! I am a Boolean Girl alumnae and have a passion for all things tech. I still remember my microbit and Arduino class at Boolean Girls because I had so much fun :) I have recently gotten into 3D printing and my favorite part about camp is working with the girls and hearing their stories. I'm excited to meet everyone this summer!

Hi, my name is Louisa Erwin! This is my first year with Boolean Girl, and I’m a rising junior at Washington-Liberty High School in Arlington, VA. I’m passionate about STEM, and my favorite class is engineering because it involves a lot of hands-on projects and coding. I’m really looking forward to continuing my coding journey this summer. In my free time, I enjoy reading, discovering new movies, and baking. I’m so excited to connect and work with the girls this summer!

Molly Hardwick

My name is Molly Hardwick, and I’m excited to be a CIT at camp this summer! I attended this camp when I was younger and loved the experience. I’m a rising sophomore at Yorktown High School, where I play lacrosse and run track. I’ve taken classes in engineering, robotics, and digital input technologies, and I enjoy exploring how coding and engineering connect to the world around us. My favorite part of camp is helping the girls bring their ideas to life and seeing their creativity shine. I’m looking forward to a great summer!

Hi! My name is Lauren Lee and this will be my first year teaching at Boolean Girl and I am super excited! I am a freshman at Virginia Tech studying Computer Science and Finance. I started coding and game development in high school and I love it.

Hello! My name is Abbey Lennox, and I am a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech. I am majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering and also in the Naval ROTC program. I’ve been working with Boolean Girl for over three years now, and always look forward to meeting everyone during the summer camps. I created the new Micro:bit summer camp curricula and will be teaching those classes this summer. A fun fact that you will most definitely get to know about me if you are in my group is that I LOVE cats!

Hi, my name is Delia and this is my third summer at Boolean Girl! I am a rising junior at UMBC majoring in Biological Sciences. I have experience in robotics, CAD, and MATLAB. For fun, I enjoy playing tennis and watching movies. I also dabble in crocheting and baking in my free time. I am so excited to meet everyone!

Hii! My name is Angela Ngo. I just finished my first year studying computer science at the University of Maryland, and it has been really fun. I love to learn and experience new things whether it is playing piano and guitar, practicing different languages, trying a new cuisine, or doing intramural sports I’ve never played before. Boolean Girl is a great opportunity to learn, for the campers and the instructors too, and I’m so excited to join the team this summer. I can’t wait to meet you all!

At UVA you can find me involved in different musical productions, on the club swim team, and as a member of the Society of Women Engineers. I can't wait for a great summer!

Hi, my name is Inaya! I’m a rising junior at Washington-Liberty High School in Arlington, VA, and this is my first year with Boolean Girl. I’m passionate about STEM and I have loved taking coding classes in the future. Last summer, I had the amazing opportunity to intern at Amazon, which sparked my interest in technology and innovation even more. I’m excited to continue building on that experience and to help younger girls explore all the possibilities in coding and STEM. Hi my name is Maeve Shoji. I am a rising freshman at the University of Virginia. I have been coding since 7th grade and this will be my third year at Boolean Girl! I am so excited to be with Boolean Girl again and to help spread my love of code with others! In my free time I play lacrosse and run. I also love to read and play with my dog! I can’t wait to meet everyone at camp!

Celia Vander Ploeg Fallon

My name is Celia Vander Ploeg Fallon. I have been an instructor at Boolean Girl for the last two summers and am very happy to be coming back this year. I am a rising senior at Carleton College majoring in German Studies, but I started coding in my freshman year at TJHSST and have loved it ever since. I am excited to see the projects our campers come up with this summer!
Fun fact: I can speak German and I have studied abroad in both Berlin, Germany and Vienna, Austria.

Hi, my name is Emma Williams! This is my first summer at Boolean Girl. I am a rising sophomore at North Carolina State University studying Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomanufacturing and a minor in economics. I began coding in middle school doing Scratch and have been using Python throughout college. I’m excited to work with the girls this summer to learn a lot and have a lot of fun!
