Roayba Adhi
Hi! My name is Roayba Adhi, and this is my second year at Boolean Girl. I’m a junior at Washington-Liberty High School who is interested in computer science, machine learning, and business. I first got into computer science in middle school, and have been coding ever since! I’m looking forward to becoming friends with all of the campers to make cool projects and spread my love for computers.
In my free time, I like to read, bake and decorate desserts, and try new foods, especially those that are spicy and savory! A fun fact about me is that I hopefully want to try skydiving and kitesurfing in the future!
Maryam Al Haddad
Hi, My name is Maryam and I attend George Mason University and will hopefully graduate next spring. I am majoring in information technology with a concentration in web development. This is my first-year teaching at Boolean Girl, and I hope to provide great learning opportunities and give students the support they need throughout the course. I'm very excited to help students become great programmers!!!
My favorite things to do in my free time are drawing and listening to music.
Emma Ariunbayasgalan
My name is Emma and I go to Washington- Liberty High School as a rising senior! My favorite class at school is Computer Science and I am excited to help you learn more about your love for computers and technology!
I have a pit bull named Blue and I love to spend my days cuddling with her while reading a book. I was born in Mongolia but came to the United States when I was 5 and have been here since. I would love to travel to Mongolia again. I am the oldest sibling and I have a younger brother (4) and a younger sister (10).
Anupama Barua
Hi. My name is Anupama and I’m a rising junior at Arlington Carter Center. I’ve been working with Boolean girls since October 2023! I’ve had an interest in computer science and I am planning to graduate high school with an Associates in Computer Science from NOVA.
Outside of coding you can catch me hanging out with my friends or catching up on a book! Can’t wait to meet all of campers this summer!
Abby Cortez
My name is Abby Cortez! This is my first year teaching at Boolean Girl Camps and I am so excited! I’m a rising senior at Duke University where I’m majoring in Biology with minors in Bioinformatics and Theatre. I discovered coding in my first year of college and it feels like a fun game or puzzle to me. I’ve always loved teaching and I’m so excited to meet all of you wonderful future computer scientists. Aside from Boolean Girl I’ll be spending the summer preparing to apply for graduate school.
In my free time, I like to bake, write stories, workout, and hang out with my friends. I’m also always taking book suggestions. I can’t wait to meet you all!
Sadie Foer
Lauren Lee
Hi! My name is Lauren Lee and this will be my first year teaching at Boolean Girl and I am super excited! I am a freshman at Virginia Tech studying Computer Science and Finance. I started coding and game development in high school and I love it.
In my free time, I enjoy programming, video games, playing guitar, and going on runs.
Abbey Lennox
Hi! My name is Abbey Lennox and I'm a current senior at Washington-Liberty High school. I am going to Virginia Tech in the fall of 2024 to study engineering. I started working with Boolean Girl in my sophomore year and have loved it since. My favorite is to teach the micro:bit class!
A fun fact about me is I play three sports. I run track and play basketball and soccer. I look forward to meeting everyone this summer!!
Noor Ramzy
My name is Noor Ramzy. This is my first summer teaching Boolean Girl camps, and I am super excited to be a part of the community! I am a rising sophomore at New York University studying Economics and Computer Science. I first started coding in High School.
Some of my hobbies include running, painting, and playing card games. My favorite things to code are choose-your-own-adventure games. I can't wait to see all the cool projects made this summer!
Marie Schoshinski
My name is Marie Schoshinski. This will be my first year teaching at Boolean Girl Camps. I’m a rising sophomore at Gettysburg College. I am double majoring in Computer Science and Spanish and minoring in Math. I’m looking forward to working with the campers this summer, learning more, and having fun.
In my free time I like to spend time with my friends and family exploring new places. I can’t wait to start camp this summer!
Maeve Shoji
Hi my name is Maeve Shoji. I am a rising senior at Washington-Liberty in Arlington, VA. I have been coding since 7th grade and this will be my second year at Boolean Girl! I am so excited to be with Boolean Girl again and to help spread my love of code with others!
In my free time I play lacrosse and run. I also love to read and play with my dog! I can’t wait to meet everyone at camp! Fun fact: I have been to Machu Picchu!
Aminata Tandina
My name is Aminata Tandina and this is my first summer working at Boolean Girl! I’m graduating high school this year and I have plans to major in electrical engineering and computer science in college. I began coding my sophomore year of high school and I’m excited to continue on with my coding journey.
In my spare time I love to read, watch movies, and I’m currently trying to learn how to paint!
Celia Vander Ploeg Fallon
My name is Celia Vander Ploeg Fallon. I have been an instructor at Boolean Girl for the last two summers and am very happy to be coming back this year. I am a rising senior at Carleton College majoring in German Studies, but I started coding in my freshman year at TJHSST and have loved it ever since. I am excited to see the projects our campers come up with this summer!
Fun fact: I can speak German and I have studied abroad in both Berlin, Germany and Vienna, Austria.
Emma Williams
Hi, my name is Emma Williams! This is my first summer at Boolean Girl. I am a rising sophomore at North Carolina State University studying Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biomanufacturing and a minor in economics. I began coding in middle school doing Scratch and have been using Python throughout college. I’m excited to work with the girls this summer to learn a lot and have a lot of fun!
